Excellent music from excellent VN series. It is not comprised solely of "full songs" but also from some some half minute long melodies so bear that in mind.Minus points for copyright issues related absence of some tracks. Understandable, really. Nonetheless disappointing. Also, I am I the only one thinking the characters in the picture have dresses which look kinda funny given how they normally dress? I picture Selphine in the long red robe, Ritona in the shorter, still traditional yet practical purple dress and Rune in the unisex clothing. Just a little thing that came up to my mind instantly when looking at the picture.... I used a freeware ogg to mp3 program (you can easily find one online) to overcome the file formatting issue.Regarding "not all songs are in the soundtrack", I would name this "Half of fault milestone two soundtrack". Having said that, however, the songs on the soundtrack are absolutely phenomenal as I'm sure anyone who has read the story (or even played the demo) can attest to.I received the soundtrack as part of the fault bundle; as a soundtrack collector of sorts, it's one of the reasons I got the bundle instead of the games individually.. If you enjoyed the games or simply want some good music to listen to, consider this. I wholeheartedly recommend the visual novels fault milestone 1 & 2, but sadly I can't say the same for this OST. Don't get me wrong, the music in this game is excellent. They exceeded my already fairly high standards. Unfortunately this OST does not include all of the tracks. It feels like the creators looked inside of my brain, saw all of the tracks I would actually care for (namely many that play often during your reading experience) and decided not to include them. The product description cites copyright issues with including all of the tracks. I suppose nothing can be done about that, but it undeniably hurts this album. It would have been much better if they could have just gone through the in-game music gallery and gave us those in high quality. Instead there seems to be a bias towards what I would call "slow," melodious songs. Looks like I'm still going to have to have the game running in the background if I want fault's best tracks playing.. PLEASE NOTE:not all tracks in game are included.AND MORE IMPORTANTLY:THE TRACKS INCLUDED ARE STILL AMAZING.If you are thinking about buying this OST,just stop hesitating and buy it.The tracks in the series are quite different from those in other VNs,maybe more close to the BGMs of RPGs and movies. Most of these tracks are distinctive,so this OST may bring you some unique experience.. This soundtrack collection excludes some of my favorite tracks from Milestone 1 and 2, but still provides an exquisite array of the varied elegance and fantasy-sci-fi arrangements that present themselves throughout the series. At least one variation of each style common to the series is available: jpop vocals, rpg-styled battle themes, choral, strings/piano, and its unique sci-fi/synth-based tunes of ethereal chords. It is consistent with what Fault is: a game that meshes human progression in both magic and physics. Memorable songs like ‘The Regal Ninth’ will instantly take you back to that first pivotal moment, while calmer tracks like ‘Sasary’ will evoke nostalgic emotions. Given its price, the omissions due to licensing are negligible. The soundtrack provides quick access as opposed to popping the games up and listening through their respective galleries which, in itself, I found worth it. If you need inspirational fantasy songs or an incentive to try the games out, this is a decent option.. NOTE: Not all of the music in the Visual Novels are included. That said, it's definitely worth 5USD. The sound quality is amazing, and I listen to this pretty much any time I'm in my car. I do wish I could buy the rest of the soundtrack, though.... The long awaited soundtrack is finaly here. If your looking at this you probably already intend to buy this so ill just pass some useful info along. The sound track doesn't work with Windows media player by default due to file format but VLC media player works well and is free. The sound quality is good with VLC telling me its streaming @ 499kb/s Bit rate and 48000Hz sample rateAnd it says the Codec is "Vorbis Audio(vorb)" in case your looking for a codec for your default media player.
